Here I was getting ready to take the dogs for a little walk and then what I thought was wind turned out to be rain. Ugh I hate being rained in for the day especially when I dont have to go to school.

Today I decided that I wourl work with my DOF= Depth of Feild. Its more of focusing on one object and having the background blurry. Or better yet whatever is in focus is the main subject.

Here is my take at editing. I have been doing it for a while to most of my pictures but I played with the color curves this time. This is also a semi-self portrait. I used a tripod!!

Today my husband brought me these beautiful rose. He found it on the side of the road and put it in an Arizona Ice Tea can. It was a beautiful gesture and made me feel really special. I had to take a picture of it because I knew it would not live long....oh and it smelled heavenly!!

So I am in this photo group online and this weeks challenge was to play with your white balance. My white balance is usually on AUTO so I switched it up a bit and put it on shade today. So here are the pics. Can you tell the difference? The first is AUTO the second is shade.

So today I had a solo session at Vizcaya Museum an Gardens it is one of the most beautiful places you could ever go. The day was very hot and humid and the mosquitoes were monsters but it is a magnificent place,and besides that I got some really good. Shots. Check Out my myspace to see the pics from August 22.

Well the tropical storm is passing over us!!! I went outside today as it calmed to be very disappointed. My entire garden is ruined. Or at least it looks like it. I have examined some of the damage so far but once the soil dries I will see how much I have lost. My bell pepper plants are leaning over along with he chili peppers. My tomatoes tree was dead so I just pulled it out of the ground and I am not sue if my lettuce will make it or not they have gotten too much rain. Ugh!!

Well we have had warning that the tropical storm is coming our way. Hubby played hooky today and stayed home with me to weather the storm. It really wasn't as bad as I had expected just a lot of rain. I love the rain but hopefully its not too much so my plants don't get damaged. My poor dogs have been itching to get outside and stretch there legs. They hate pooping in the rain.

So my cousin left today and after I dropped her off at the bus stop in the morning I came home still not feeling well so I played hooky from church. Agh...I know not good but I was so tired and sleepy just wanted to put my feet up and relax. So today I did nothing. I however did get up in time to make some soy dogs with vegetarian beans it was so good but this is what I did most of the day.

So I haven't cooked in a very long time. Well because I have not been eating meat my meals are much more simple. My poor hubby has been living off pizza and Pollo Tropical. Well my cousin is over this weekend and I figured because she is pregnant I should try and cook. So when I looked in the fridge it showed how long it had been since I cooked this is what I found.

I was so lonely today. Just sitting in the office doing nothing. My cousin is supposed to come over today however its taking her a lot longer to get here than I thought. It started raining and I could not go anywhere. Not to the gym, mailbox, or even to run my errands to the bank. I am tired of the rain already? When will it end. I feel like a caged prisoner trapped behind venetian blinds and glass!!

I stayed up really late online last night so I decided why even go to sleep when I would be up at 5:30am making breakfast for my husband? So stayed up until five and all he wanted was a egg sandwich. So of course I had to make it more than just an egg sandwich. I toasted the bread, buttered it, and add sliced tomato, with ground black pepper and salt. It looked wonderful and smelled delish. What did you have for breakfast?

So its been raining still. I have been accumulating water in my abandoned gardening pots and spill blockers that are mosquito magnets when wet. I need to go and turn them over better yet actually clean them out and place them in the garage until I need to use them. It was so artistic seeing this filled with dirt and water. I just had to take a picture.

So as I was reading to my godkid over the phone. We were reading goodnight moon so after I finished and we got off the phone. I realized that the moon was actually out and I went outside to get a picture. Goodnight moon!!!
